The Board of Directors of the Central Texas Groundwater Conservation District has determined the District to be in the Severe Drought Stage and has initiated the Stage 3 Critical Drought Stage of the District Drought Management Plan effective May 23, 2024.
THE CENTRAL TEXAS GROUNDWATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.77 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $0.20.
